Tal día como hoy, en 1770, tuvo origen el proceso de elaboración de la primera normativa legal reguladora del Cuerpo de Ingenieros de la Marina.

The U.S. Navy is again coming under pressure to reform the working environment for sailors assigned to warships undergoing long periods of repairs and maintenance at various shipyards. The goal is to prevent the rising cases of suicides and mental health problems among sailors on these ships.
In the wake of an investigation that exposed systemic failures aboard the dry-docked aircraft carrier USS George Washington following three suicides in a span of a week in April last year, two senators are demanding that the Navy carry out further reforms on the requirements that govern sailors deployed to vessels in shipyards.

The first ship in a series of new highly efficient shortsea cargo vessels entered service at the end of 2022 continuing the evolution of the segment. In addition to having an efficient design and innovative power plant, the Vertom Patty was designed to anticipate future trends. Her electric power plant is ready for conversion to methanol fuel or hydrogen power.
The Vertom Patty was built at the Thecla Bodewes Shipyards in The Netherlands for Vertom, a Dutch shortsea shipping company with a fleet of approximately 100 vessels ranging between 1,500 and 10,000 dwt. The first of six ships that the group ordered
