A Singapore-registered passenger ferry collided with a Marshall Islands-registered tanker off the Southern Islands on the evening of 10 November.
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said the Horizon 9 ferry, carrying 165 passengers and 7 crew members, was en route to HarbourFront Centre when the collision with the tanker La Digue occurred around 5 p.m. on 10 November 2025. Following the incident, an MPA patrol craft was dispatched to escort the ferry safely back to HarbourFront Centre.
All passengers and crew were disembarked safely at the Regional Ferry Terminal, with no reported injuries.
