Rescatados ilesos los dos tripulantes de un pesquero embarrancado en Cabo Peñas

Oviedo, 12 jun (EFE).- Salvamento Marítimo ha rescatado ilesos la pasada noche a los dos tripulantes de un barco pesquero gallego que quedó embarrancado en la isla Erbosa, cerca de Cabo Peñas (Asturias).

Tras recibir el aviso del barco, Salvamento Marítimo movilizó la embarcación Salvamar Rigel y el helicóptero Hemiler 207, que rescató a los dos tripulantes y los trasladó al Puerto de El Musel, ha informado este viernes el organismo dependiente del Ministerio de Transportes y Movilidad Sostenible.

El helicóptero está sobrevolando la zona para evaluar el estado del barco pesquero, que tiene doce metros de eslora.

El pesquero accidentado se denomina Novo Mar Iy tiene su base en el puerto gallego de Noia (A Coruña).

Official Vietnamese sources and VOV.VN confirm that the Liberian-flagged Capesize bulk carrier Star Bueno (178,978 DWT) ran aground off Quang Ngai Province on October 26 during severe weather.

The vessel, carrying 174,790 tons of iron ore from Saldanha Bay (South Africa) to Dung Quat Port (Vietnam), broke anchor amid strong winds and high waves before drifting ashore.

The Quang Ngai Maritime Authority immediately dispatched inspection teams and tugboats, requiring the owner to submit a pollution-control and safety plan. By October 29, the Star Bueno was refloated and moved to a safe anchorage, though seawater ingress was detected in several cargo holds. Pumping and stabilization operations are ongoing.

The Indian crew of a sanctioned, shadow fleet tanker abandoned ship on Monday, June 8, after a fire was reported aboard the ship. U.S. Central Command later acknowledged the strike, saying the vessel was disabled after it violated the ongoing blockade against Iran by attempting to sail to an Iranian port.
