Over the Week 45, the MABUX global bunker indices moved upward. The 380 HSFO index rose by 5.67 USD: from 529.02 USD/MT last week to 534.69 USD/MT. The VLSFO index increased by 12.98 USD (609.08 USD/MT versus 596.90 USD/MT last week), surpassing the $600 mark again.

Enova concede 65 millones de euros a cinco proyectos de hidrógeno para combustible marítimo en Noruega

Enova apoya cinco proyectos de producción de hidrógeno. El proyecto será un trampolín para el uso del hidrógeno en el transporte marítimo noruego, según un comunicado de la empresa. 

En total, los proyectos que han recibido apoyo bajo la iniciativa de Enova, ahora y en 2022, contribuirán a una capacidad de producción de 100 MW, lo que corresponde a aproximadamente 40 toneladas de hidrógeno por día.  

Además, los proyectos contribuirán a reducir las emisiones de 200.000 toneladas de CO2 al año, lo que equivale al 5,5% de las emisiones nacionales procedentes del transporte marítimo y la pesca, que ascienden a

Nuevas regulaciones resaltan la importancia de las asociaciones estratégicas en el sector

En respuesta a los objetivos de sostenibilidad y reducción de emisiones de la Unión Europea (UE), la normativa FuelEU Maritime introdujo estrictos requisitos de intensidad de gases de efecto invernadero (GEI) en la industria marítima para los buques que operan dentro de la UE y el Espacio Económico Europeo (EEE). Según Safety4Sea, esta normativa mide la intensidad de los GEI en gramos equivalentes de CO₂ por megajulio (gCO2e/MJ), considerando la totalidad del ciclo de vida del combustible, desde su extracción hasta su utilización en los motores de los buques. Clean Maritime Fuels Platform calls on the policymakers to create the regulatory conditions to unlock investments in the production of clean maritime fuels in the EU.

The Draghi Report estimates that €40 billion in annual investments will be needed between 2031 and 2050 for the energy transition of shipping. Building a supply chain for clean fuels in Europe is a priority for the industry to meet its decarbonisation targets and for Europe to achieve its climate targets.

Clean Maritime Fuels Platform supports the report’s conclusions regarding the need to:
